At times I look around and it appears that nobody really cares that this once great Nation that many have shed blood for is now becoming a tyrannical police state that rewards fraud, corruption and bailouts.
Case in point, the Federal Reserve is pumping over $200 billion a month into the broken financial system just to keep it afloat, organic demand for U.S. risk assets has perished and the rest of the world (most notably China) is headed for the hills. The U.S. is burning and yet nobody cares? [more…]

Without question we are in the middle of a dramatic paradigm shift in the global economy. The U.S. dollar is crumbling, the stock market artificially inflated with a short-term dose of heroin, commodities and precious metals soaring and our leadership piss drunk at the steering wheel actively driving the U.S. economy off a cliff.
For the observant, it would seem that our leaders even in a worst case scenario would at least have a 50/50 chance of making a good policy choice from time to time that directly benefited the United States. Then why is it that the path we're on looks more like a self-inflicted suicide mission? [more…]
