Dear Clooney, Stop Weapons of Mass Distraction
Quite concerned with strangers in a far off land rather than the impending economic collapse and erosion of civil liberties here in the United States George Clooney and his father, journalist Nick Clooney, 78, were arrested today outside the Sudanese embassy for trespassing after being warned by police numerous times not to cross the property. In addition to the Clooneys, Martin Luther King III, NAACP President Ben Jealous, Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va), former Rep. Tom Andrews (D-Mass), Rabbi Steve Gutow, president of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs and Rep Jim McGovern (D-Mass) were also handcuffed in plastic and taken away.
The group held a sign that read: “Sudan: Stop Weapons of Mass Starvation.” Obviously this was a media stunt meant to highlight the deteriorating situation in the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile regions of Sudan. According to Clooney “he wants the [Sudanese] government in Khartoum to stop randomly killing its own innocent men, women and children. Stop raping them, and stop starving them.”
This event took place on the heals of Clooney’s testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee about what he saw in Sudan after his recent filming of the situation there. Two days ago he also had a meeting in the Oval Office and enjoyed a state dinner with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama.

Concern with yet again another episode of ethnic cleansing in the world is by all means understandable and lobbying the MSM, Sudanese, NGOs, and private citizens to act is laudable, however, it is wholly ignorant of George Clooney to ask the United States government, the U.N. and China to interdict. The geopolitical animal Clooney is attempting to coral for his own purposes places him neatly into the role of useful idiot and reveals him to be incredibly naïve to the complex and countervailing interests of all parties considered.
As I have explained before Africa and its vast stores of natural resources is now once again, since the colonial era, firmly in the crosshairs of two world powers – China and the U.S. Moreover, the U.N. and its sprawling bureaucracies have their own Green Agenda and have already been raiding and confiscating land in the name of the environment while virtually doing nothing to curb the proliferation of corrupt governments throughout Africa.
International action to the contrary has done nothing but render Africa dependent on first world intervention from the IMF to the recent NATO operation in Libya. See what democracy at the hands of foreign intervention has wrought thus far in Qaddafi’s formerly equipoise state; the rise of fundamentalist and Al-Qaeda backed government and fierce suppression of a largely black Libyan south:
Reports of this type of treatment poured out of Libya during and after the late stages of the Libyan “revolution” backed by the US and international forces under NATO. Clooney’s complaint that Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir, defense minister Hussein, and their campaign of genocide was about Arabs versus blacks is exactly what President Obama created and exacerbated in Libya. Yet no sign Clooney is aware of the paradox.
If that weren’t enough in more astonishing doses of irony Clooney, in his interview with MSNBC above, unknowingly highlights that the bombs dropped near him were in fact according to other reports evidently Chinese made. Still want their help George? Also, when Clooney’s film crew showed up to shoot there were already people waiting with signs calling for a “no fly zone” similar to that used in Libya. Finally if Clooney couldn’t persuade us with his alluring smolder and the cries of babies from his documentary he ripped off his green veil and offered an economic reason that the U.S. government should be involved in an effort to subdue the Sudanese government and save Darfur – oil! This is also the argument Clooney hopes will persuade China.
“Let’s talk about economics, right now what is going on in the Sudan changes the cost of your gas every single day of your life.” Clooney insisted in the MSNBC interview. “If for no other reason than your economic interests there is plenty of reason to make sure that your government is involved in trying to secure some form of peace.” Evidently if Libya is any model “some form of peace” means putting in place another set of dubious characters, not genuine grassroots reform.
Clooney evidently complains about Darfur not receiving enough attention, acknowledging Americans’ “misery fatigue” for wars in Syria, Libya, Somalia and elsewhere. Elsewhere, really? By this time it is no secret Pax Americana expands the globe and is in virtually every country except Russia and China, two countries constantly defying the US at every turn.
This once again exposes the ostensibly liberal class behind Barack Obama has undergone the full metamorphosis from anti-war under Bush to pro humanitarian war under Obama. Since KONY 2012 has thoroughly been exposed for what it was, just a rallying cry to impose AFRICOM on Africa and further American hegemony in the region, let us expose George Clooney, Angelina Jolie and the rest of the military entertainment complex whom believe we have a responsibility to protect every nation on earth even if it means we lose our own.
Clooney forgets what he himself admits, that people “left to their own devices without being attacked, have lived and survived and thrived, because they’re survivors.” Who wouldn’t agree with this statement, it is the default setting for free humanity – survival. How this comports with his concurrent philosophy of government intervention is were the cognitive dissonance must be deafening: “we are only successful as a human race by how we look out for the people who can’t look out for themselves” says Clooney.
Take a look at Christopher Greene’s take:
If you ever wonder how the left justifies war, this is it. It is also one other reason I’ve said our foreign policy is just another entitlement program no matter who’s running it, Bush or Obama.

…poor Clooney, my sympathy with this and other bleeding heart attention seekers.
He is in focus already so let him dance.
Remember Berthold Brecht in the Three penny opera?
“…And some are in the darkness
And the others in the light
But you only see those in the light
Those in the darkness you don’t see”
I couldn’t help noticing certain common links or association among those 20 and the 12.
Did you?
A famous or some say infamous Writer stated once that whenever he analyzed and looked closer into affairs/situations which ills our world he recognizes a certain repeating pattern.
He spoke of maggots in the centre of a boil.
Fabian, I think, calls those “Offshore Bankers” even so the can be found virtually around the globe at every place where many is changed, manipulated and ripped off.
Dare say it loud who that could be, whole Nations have been stigmatized, with lies tarred and feathered and turned into Zombies who hate each other but not the “Those in the darkness you don’t see”".
Now it is the USA’s turn to be led into a “Amalekian” destruction; for what sins or deeds actually ? !
For your failure to listen to your own wise men of the past, for falling for lies and repeating ad nauseam your inability to recognize the lies.
For being willing sheeples, for being lazy to learn why you condone instead of research what has happened before today.
Clooney and Hollywood (holy wood =magic wand) as source of history has renders you helpless.
Overcoming your problem means overcoming your deep ingrained perceptions of what you understand has happened in the past.
One thing is for certain that age old resentments against a certain group has effectively transferred to scapegoats to do their bad deeds for them.
That is you America
